Responses of reactive oxygen species(ROS) scavenging system in chloroplast of wheat seedlings under drought stress were studied in this paper. The results show that with the extention of drought stress, the contents of soluble protein,MDA and O-2 increase and those of the group of 20% concentration increas more noticeably. However, the activities of SOD and GR are much lower than those of the control, while the fluctuation of the group of 20% concentration is much wilder. Results also show that the activity of POD decreases prior to increase, and that the ROS scavenging system demonstrates synergism under drought stress.
