Six pests were treated by cantharidin with different patters to study the insecticidal effect.The results show that cantharidin has the contact activity agaist all tested pests and the stomach activity agaist some pests,but no systemic activity and fumigant actiivity.Mukaria pallipes was the most sensitive to cantharidin,and the LD50 value was 0.00331 μg/♀.In the next place,The LD50 of Nilaparvata lugens,Bambusiphaga furca,Plutella Xylosella and Sogatella furcifera treated by cantharidin after 24h was 0.00915 μg/♀,0.01001 μg/♀,0.01830 μg/head and 0.01896 μg/♀ respectively.The 3rd instar larva was the most insensitive to cantharidin,and the LD50 value was 0.9005 μg/head.
