Comparison Research on Technology and NonSeismic Geophysical Methodologies to Explore the Heavy Oil Reservoir in Songliao Basin and Western Canada Basin

Like the basin in the west of Canada,the Songliao basin belongs to mesozoic interior basins controlled by pan-pacific tectonic belts.Both Songliao basin and western Canada basin are similar in tectonic settings and developing conditions.The heavy oil and oil-bearing sand reservoirs of Songliao basin are of considerable prospective reserves.Using the geophysical experience and technologies in Canada as a reference,we can explore the heavy oil and oil-bearing reservoirs in the slope area of Songliao basin.
