Effect of acupuncture-therapy for Tongqiaoxingshen combined with electric acupuncture on the treatment of ophthalmoparalysis

Objective To observe the effect of for Tongqiaoxingshen combined with electric acupuncture on the treatment of ophthalmoparalysis.Methods 140 patients with ophthalmoparalysis were randomly divided into two groups.Patients in control group(n=60)were treated by combination of conventional acupuncture-therapy and electric acupuncture.Patients in treatment group(n=80)were treated by acupuncture-therapy for Tongqiaoxingshen combined with electric acupuncture.Twenty times of therapy was a course in both groups and then effect was compared.Results The total effective rate was 89% in the treatment group and 6.% in the control group,and there was a significant difference between the two groups(P0.01).Conclusion Acupuncture-therapy for Tongqiaoxingshen combined with electric acupuncture has a definite effect on the treatment of ophthalmoparalysis.
