Synthesis of thermotropic polyesters

Abstract Polyesters and copolyesters having thermotropic liquid‐crystalline properties were prepared by acceptor‐catalytic polycondensation. It is shown that the temperature region of the mesophase depends on the structure, ratio of the initial components and their distribution in the macromolecules.
