Synthesis of a Difunctionalized Pillar[5]arene with Hydroxyl and Amino Groups at A1/A2 Positions

Herein, we report a new route for the introduction of an amino group into pillar[5]arene to synthesize pillar[4]arene[1]quinone monooxime (H1) and pillar[4]arene[1]‐p‐aminophenol (H2). Their host–guest complexations with different neutral dicyano alkyl‐based molecules were studied and characterized by NMR spectroscopy and X‐ray single crystal structures.
