摘要
Laryngeal cancer is a common malignant tumor of the head and neck, and its occurrence and development are closely related to epigenetic modifications. Histone lactylation, a novel form of epigenetic modification, regulates gene expression and is involved in processes such as tumor metabolic reprogramming, shaping the tumor microenvironment, maintaining tumor stem cell characteristics and developing treatment resistance. The present review highlighted the molecular mechanisms and detection methods of histone lactylation and explores its potential role in laryngeal cancer, as it may serve as a valuable biomarker for diagnosis and prognosis. Furthermore, targeting the lactylation pathway may provide novel therapeutic strategies, with the potential to improve treatment outcomes for patients. Overall, understanding the role of histone lactylation in laryngeal cancer may potentially lead to innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches and improve the management of laryngeal cancer in the future.
