Juvenile xanthogranuloma underneath a toenail: an unusual localization

Various subungual tumours can cause nail deformities in children; however, juvenile xanthogranuloma (JXG) is rare. We show an image of a chronic subungual mass in a child, finally diagnosed with JXG according to the histopathology. The case warns us that if a nail deformity with a yellow discoloration is observed in a young child, subungual JXG should be considered as a differential diagnosis.
