A Survey of Facial Expression Recognition

Facial expression is a key to nonverbal communication,which has been confirmed by many different research projects.A change in intensity or magnitude of even one specific facial expression can cause different interpretations.In this paper,the background of facial ex pression recognition reaches and the study of the current situation at home and abroad are introduced Then those important international meetings and those novel reaches in this area are listed.At the end of this paper the limits in facial expression recognition are pointed out.
