Advance in the research on non-point source pollution models

Pollution of non-point source has become the main causation of water pollution,with the effective control of point source pollution.How to control and manage non-point source pollution has become the important task of water environment fathering.Computer models can be used to evaluate,manage and control non-point source pollution,which regarded as available and measur-able tools to simulate non-point source pollution and estimate its pollution loads.In this paper,development trend of non-point source pollution models was put forward,after summarizing its development status and shortcomings.Because the characteristic of non-point source pollution,involved random of pollution,wide range,mechanism mistiness and difficult of management,the main-stream study of future will include models quantify,parameter quantify,and integration of models and GIS.
