The Zhou Yi is a treasured book with a vast reservoir of wisdom and abounds with philosophical thoughts. Based on the relevant philosophical thoughts of the Zhou Yi,the paper analyzes the reasons for retranslation:( a) texts' openness( Words have no definite meanings);( b) translators' subjectivity( Each translator offers a different version);( c) differences among readers( Readers are different); and( d) changes in the language( The language changes with the times). The analysis lays a foundation for further studies of retranslation from the perspective of the Great Yi.
