42788 Inhibition of the IL-15 receptor reduces tissue resident memory T-cells and prevents contact hypersensitivity

Background: Systemic therapy for eczema targets the immune system during inflammation. Disease returns to previously inflamed skin due to the persistence of tissue resident memory T-cells (Trm) responding to autoantigens/allergens. The survival of Trm-cells is regulated by IL-15. We present a mouse model of recurrent contact hypersensitivity (CHS) and suggest a novel approach to the treatment of inflammatory skin diseases through inhibition of Trm-cells.
