Presentation of Case An eighteen-month-old female child was admitted to the hospital because of an abdominal mass and jaundice. Six weeks previously there was an episode of intestinal grippe characterized by a fever of 103°F., diarrhea and occasional vomiting. The fever and diarrhea continued intermittently, and moderate anorexia developed. When the patient was seen by a pediatrician two weeks before entry examinations of the blood and urine were said to show icterus, and physical examination was negative.
