摘要
The objectives of this study are to (i) evaluate the process controlling fluoride (F -) removal by ceriumimpregnated activated carbon (AC-Ce) composite, and (ii) assess the performance of that composite in the fixed-bed column as a filter.The AC-Ce composites were synthesized by collecting AC from different sources (AC Darco and AC Eco ).The observations from this study suggest that the homogeneous distribution of amorphous Ce within AC Darco -Ce results in high F - sorption.Formation of crystalline CeO 2 and small pore size of AC Eco inhibits F -sorption by AC Eco -Ce.The AC Darco -Ce composite in fixed-bed filter media can treat up to 722 ml of F -contaminated water.
