The Oxford Handbook of Organization Theory

Abstract This book provides a forum for discussion about globalization explosion and business. The five main sections of the book cover the following areas: the history and theory of the multinational enterprise; the political and policy environment of international business; strategies of multinational enterprises; financial areas of the multinational enterprise; and business systems in Asia, South America, and the transitional economies. The book evaluates important epistemological developments in the discipline. Specifically, the book focuses on issues related to the nature of knowledge claims put forward in organization theory and the controversies surrounding the generation, validation, and utilization of such knowledge.
