摘要
Due to system dependency of tribological parameters transfer of friction values between different tribological systems is complicated. Taking the example of the complex tribological contact bucket tappet/camshaft, investigations were carried out on the influence of the contact pressure in this tribological system on the friction in a ball-on-disk tribometer. In both tribological testing devices same materials and engine oil were used. Not coated and DLC coated mechanical bucket tappets made of 16MnCr5 (AISI 5115) were used for these tests. The contact pressure for the ballon-disk contact was chosen from the initial pressure based on an analysis of the stress collective of the bucket tappet/camshaft contact. Additionally, the sliding velocity was varied. The relations gained from the tribological testing on the tribometer were compared with the results from test runs that were done on a one tappet/one cam friction test rig. Depending on the initial pressure different friction and wear behavior of both test pairings could be observed in the ball-on-disk tribometer. Moreover, different acting tribo-mechanisms at the coated and not coated bucket tappets at various load spectrums were proven. In case of same oil temperatures similar relations in the one tappet/one cam friction test rig and in the ball-ondisk-contact could be observed.
