Design tips: Checking high speed digital backplanes

Electro/optical telecom equipment commonly use high speed digital backplanes in order to increase the data throughput among the connected boards. These backplanes have to be well designed and checked to avoid equipment failures. This paper describes the measurements commonly performed on a high speed backplane.
