Research on New-Type Smart City in China Based on Smart Construction Theory

With rapid development of construction industry, the amount and complexity of Smart City of construction information are growing, because the construction scale is much larger and the process is more complicated than before. Although construction industry in China has an increasing investment on informationization and application of emerging information technologies research in recent years, there are many problems on Smart City and emerging information technologies. Theory of New-type Smart City in China is proposed by China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC). Moreover, application and integration of emerging IT within new-type Smart City are analyzes, such as internet of things, BIM, ubiquitous computing, and 4D visualization. The research indicates the direction of subsequent theory research and practice research on new-type Smart City in China.
