摘要
This literature review synthesises research on corrective feedback (CF) in second language (L2) writing, utilising theoretical frameworks and practical applications. Including 33 studies dated between 1996 and 2023, the review highlights key themes such as teacher cognition, student engagement, and feedback strategies, and technological advancement in feedback provision. In addition, methodological approaches, effectiveness of different types of feedback, and student-teacher interactions are explored to identify the complex dynamic of corrective feedback within diverse L2 contexts. The findings indicate that while CF has wide support in enhancing L2 accuracy, inconsistencies between teacher practices and student perceptions require further research so that pedagogical practices can be made to better align with learners needs. Some implications for future research and pedagogical strategies are provided in the conclusion. Keywords: written corrective feedback, Second Language Writing, student engagement, teacher strategies
