Acoustic data collected from an array with elements comprised of omni‐directional hydrophone sensors co‐located with acceleration vector sensor triplets are analyzed for seabed geo‐acoustic information. The data were collected during the passage of a surface vessel, the R/V Montague, in an August 2006 experiment conducted in Monterey Bay. Geo‐acoustic inversion with the vector sensor acceleration components parallel to the array line of bearing produced a solution approximately identical to the solution obtained from the inversion of the hydrophone array data.
