INVESTIGATIONS INTO CANINE DISTEMPER VIRUS AND PARVOVIRUS IN SHANGHAI

To investigate the prevalence of Canine distemper virus(CDV) and Canine parvovirus(CPV) in Shanghai,samples were collected from 106 diseases dogs and 232 clinical healthy dogs and tested using Real-time fluorescent PCR.The positive rates of diseased dog samples were 50.0% and 72.6% for CDV and CPV,respectively.In clinical healthy samples,the CDV and CPV positive rates were 4.74% and 3.88%,respectively.These investigations illustrated the prevalence of CDV and CPV in dogs in Shanghai area.
