In order to meet the special requirements for asphalt binder of gussasphalt, performances of composite rubber crumb-based modified asphalt and gussasphalt concrete with different rubber crumb content were experimentally studied to determine the optimum rubber crumb dosage, and the viscosity of composite rubber crumb-based modified asphalt at different temperatures were tested. The results show that the addition of rubber crumb into gussasphalt concrete would not influence its construction fluidity.Comparative research was done for the high and low temperature performances of composite rubber crumb-based modified asphalt and composite rock modified asphalt. The results also show that it is feasible to use the rubber crumb-based modified asphalt as the asphalt binder of gussasphalt concretes.
