Distribution and Characteristics of Underground Water in Huhhot High Arsenic Concentration Areas

Studying the distribution and characteristic of underground water in Huhhot high arsenic concentration areas,for making recommends to improving water.Water samples from low arsenic and high arsenic areas in Huhhot were determined by means of chemical methods,AAS,ICP.The distribution of high content arsenic in shallow water is more larger than in deep water.Underground water with high concentration of arsenic is predominantly in reducting conditions,As3+ constituted the dominant form of arsenic in the groundwater.The content of HCO-3,DOC,FeT,PT,Mn,B,in underground water from high arsenic areas is higher than low arsenic areas(P0.01),while the content of SO2-4,Se are low.On basis of geologic characteristic of high arsenic area,to take effective measures for improving water.
