Studies on the Supermolecular Mechanism of the Tosylation of β-cyclodextrin

Effects of media,temperature and operation mode on the tosylation of 1β cyclodextrin with p TsCl were studied.The result was shown that β CD 6 OTs were obtained in,while β CD 2 OTs were synthesized in an alkaline solution.According to the structural characterization of β CD,the supermolecular mechanism of the tosylation was put forward which was employed to explain the reaction procession.
