Nickel nanoparticles (Ni-NPs) of 23-29nm size were prepared using the polyol method using capping agent polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) by changing the concentration. The particle size D was estimated from X-Ray diffraction (XRD) using Scherrer formula. It was observed that size systematically decreases with increasing the concentration of PVP. This trend is also found from scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Furthermore, highly uniform Ni-NPs were observed from the images of SEM and AFM.
