Treatability of Contaminants in Conventional Systems

Abstract Once the drinking water is contaminated (either intentionally or unintentionally), the water must be treated prior to use or disposal. This article describes the techniques that can be used to remove classes of contaminants from contaminated water. The removal efficiencies are generally stated since much depends on specific water qualities, contaminant concentration, and other parameters that are site or water specific.
