In conclusion, colchicine exhibits a therapeutic potential in ameliorating cardiac dysfunction in isoproterenol-induced mice, potentially mediated, at least in part, by enhancing the activity of PGC-1α, PPARα, CPT-1α, and MCAD and to enhance the fatty acid β-oxidation.
