Author Response: Frequency of Biologically Defined Alzheimer Disease in Relation to Age, Sex, APOE ε4, and Cognitive Impairment

We agree that in the present publication, Alzheimer disease (AD) biomarkers ruled in the presence of the AD pathophysiology, rather than ruling out other specific processes. We are looking forward to the development of novel alpha-synuclein, TDP-43, Lewy body, 4R-tau, 3R-tau, and brain reserve biomarkers to provide a better appraisal of the brain abnormalities associated with cognitive decline and dementia.
