The characteristics and output rules of nitrogen and phosphorus loss of rainfall runoff in farmland of typical plain river-net area were studied through the field survey and the fixed location monitoring of the concentration of nitrogen and phosphorus. Some important conclusions were drawn,i.e.,the different land uses have great influences on the nitrogen and phosphorus loss;and the output concentration of nitrogen and phosphorus varies obviously with the duration of rainfall and the amount of runoff, which provide basic data for further study.
