The Subversion That the Post-modernism Does to the Traditional Fairy Tale from the New Version of Hoodwinked

The new version of Hoodwinked is a post-modern film with the theme of a fairy tale which is filled with irony.From the new version of Hoodwinked,we can see the subversions that post-modernism does to the traditional fairy tale which are shown in the following three aspects: the subversion of traditional images,the subversion of the narrative mode;and the subversion of the subjects of fairy tales.This kind of subversion is successful on one hand: some modern elements are mixed by pumping relaxing fresh blood into the children′s literature.But on the other hand,it would inevitably lead to a misunderstanding of subversion,which may cause the loss of traditional fairy-tale spirits and to some extend,has a negative impact on children′s literature.
