A Study on Guidance of Ecological Footprint Theory to Sustainable Utilization of Land Resources in Jiangxi Province

Ecological footprint which is based on consumption is a kind of referential method for measuring sustainability.The concept of ecological footprint and the method of calculation are introduced in this paper,calculation and analysis of the ecological footprint of Jiangxi Province nowadays and the forecast ecological footprints in 2010 and 2020 are carried out.The result shows that the ecological deficit is 0.005 4 km~2/cap nowadays and the ecological surplus is 0.068 4 km~2/cap and 0.285 km~2/cap in 2010 and 2020 respectively,which shows the development scheme is sustainable.
