Isolation and reactivity of a gold(i) hydroxytrifluoroborate complex stabilized by anion-π+ interactions

A new ambiphilic phosphine-xanthylium ligand is described, along with its ability to stabilize a catalytically competent Au– μ (OH)–BF 3 complex via anion-π + interactions.
