Lifetime Modelling of Hybrid Polymer Aluminium Electrolytic Capacitors for Automotive Use

A lifetime model of a 100μF 63 V hybrid polymer aluminium electrolytic capacitor rated for 125 °C is presented. The capacitors were tested in a voltage range between 0 V and 60 V, at applied ripple currents of up to 10 A at frequencies of 20 kHz and at temperatures of up to 160 °C.
