A specialized community-based rehabilitation unit in rural Uganda

This article discusses the role of a rehabilitation unit and how it can enhance community-based rehabilitation (CBR) programmes. It points out the importance of both CBR and rehabilitation units in meeting the rehabilitation needs of disabled people. The author describes a pilot unit in Uganda, where clients are rehabilitated through CBR in conjunction with a rehabilitation unit located in the community.
