Status and Prospect of Molecular Breeding For Cold Tolerance In Rice

Cold stress is one of the most important factors to decrease the yield of rice,which is thought to be a matter of great urgency to be solved.Some problems such as the mechanisms of cold-tolerance,cloning and localization of cold-responsive genes,and molecular breeding cold resistant on rice were discussed,and some suggestions were put forward for the research and breeding of cold tolerance in rice in the further.
