Objective To study the chemical constituents of Calyx Physalis. Methods The Calyx Physalis were extracted with EtOH-H2O(80∶20).The extract was partitioned with n-hexane,EtOAc and n-BuOH respectively. The n-BuOH layer was subjected to column chromatography over polyamide,Sephadex LH-20,ODS and RP-HPLC stepwisely to give five flavonoid glycosides. The spectral analysis and physicochemical characters were used to identify the structures of the compounds. Results All of the five compounds were identified as flavonoid glycosides. They are luteolin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(1),luteolin-4′-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(2),quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(3),quercetin-3,7-di-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(4),luteolin 7,3′-di-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(5).Conclusions Compounds 2,4 and 5 are isolated from Physalis genus(Solanaceae) for the first time while compound 3 is firstly isolated from Calyx Physalis.
