Objective: To investigate correlation between fat level and hepatic tissue pathologic alteration on alcoholic fatty liver in rats. Methods: Alcoholic fatty liver rats models were established. Rats with fatty liver were divided into treatment group and control group, killed after three weeks, then the levels of serum triglycerides(TG), totalcholesterol(TC) ,high density lipoprotein(HDL) ,and hepatic function were measured. Histopathological changes in liver were dyed and observed. Results: After phospholipid treatment by decreasing blood lipid, the levels of serum triglycerides(TG), totalcholesterol(TC) .high density lipoprotein( HDL) in the serum of rats with alcoholic fatty liver were decreased ,and the level of hepatic pathology was improved, (P0. 05). Conclusions:The disorder of lipid metabolism might play an important role in alcoholic fatty liver. Treatment with phospholipid by decreasing blood fat and protecting hepatic function, content of fatty substance in alcoholic fatty liver can be decreased obviously, thus pathological changes of alcoholic fatty liver may be improved.
