The Experimental Study on The Effect of APS on Immunologic Function In Mice

Objective To study the effect of Astrgalus Polysaccharide (APS) on immunologic function of mice to further investigate anti-aging mechanism of action of APS.Methods Mice were divided into three groups at random: large dose group,small dose group and control group.We carried the experiments of function of peritoneal macrophage,weight of immune organ,complete blood picture and hemoglobin on mice.Results APS enhanced phagocytic percentage of peritoneal macrophage of mice and phagocytic indices.increase weight of normal mice thymus and spleen,add quantity of red blood cell,white blood cells and lymphocyte.Comparing with control group,the differences are considered statistically significant.APS had no effect on haemoglobin,neutrophils and monocyte.it isn't statistical significance compared to the control group.Conclusion APS can enhance immunologic function and delay ageing.
