Chemical Constituents of Leaves of Jatropha curcas in Hainan

Objective To study the chemical constituents of leaves of Jatropha curcas L.in Hainan island. Methods Physical-chemical contents and spectral analysis were used to identify the compounds. Results 8 compounds were elucidated as linoleic acid(Ⅰ),phytol(Ⅱ),pentadecyl ether(Ⅲ),β-sitosterol(Ⅳ),stearic acid(Ⅴ),ethyl linoleate(Ⅵ),benzoic acid(Ⅶ),vitexin(Ⅷ). Conclusion CompoundⅠ,Ⅱand Ⅵ were isolated from the leaves of Jatropha curcas for the first time.
