Experimental Study on Properties of Micro-Surfacing of Crumb Rubber Modified Asphalt

The paper has analyzed the major factors influencing the properties of crumb rubber modified asphalt,i.e.mixing temperature,mixing time,adding amount of crumb rubber and SBS powder additive.The best asphalt-aggregate ratio was determined through test and then tests such as track test,splitting test,and immersion Marshall Test were made on crumb rubber modified asphalt mixture.The test data have indicated that the crumb rubber modified asphalt properties test under optimum condition of various influencing factors determined that the best asphalt-aggregate ratio was 4.73 and at that ratio the track test,splitting test,and immersion Marshall test of crumb rubber modified asphalt mixture were all meet the requirements of the codes and the properties of crumb rubber modified asphalt mixture were better than that of matrix asphalt mixture for pavement.
