Effects of Nitrogen Fertilizer Types on Yield,Economic Benefit and Nitrogen Use Efficiency of Maize

The randomized design with 5 nitrogen levels was carried out to study the effects of different types of nitrogen fertilizer on dry matter quantity,leaf area index,grain yield,economic benefit and nitrogen use efficiency(NUE) of the summer maize in field.The results showed that the dry matter weight above ground and leaf area index of the coated compound fertilizer(CCF) treatments were little different with those of the normal urea(NU) treatment before anthesis,while significant higher after anthesis;and the grain yield of maize treated with CCF increased significantly at harvest time.The application of CCF could significantly increase the grain yield,economic benefit and nitrogen use efficiency.
