Summary Inspired by natural photosynthesis, artificial photocatalytic conversion that utilizes the full solar spectrum has been studied intensively. Recently, halide perovskite has emerged as a promising photocatalyst material due to its superior optoelectronic properties. In this review, we address the structural characteristics of perovskite materials and revisit their photocatalytic applications, focusing on their optical features. We highlight the optoelectronic excellence of halide perovskite among the modulated perovskites, and furthermore introduce the dynamic equilibrium concept to solve the stability issue in halide perovskite photocatalysis. This short review suggests that the new family of perovskite photocatalysts provides a new paradigm in efficient artificial photosynthesis.
