, the basicity, is found to play a key role in the synthesis, as SSZ-13 and SSZ-25 zeolites can be synthesized simply by changing the basicity of the same aging gel. Characterization results indicate that decreasing the basicity can promote the condensation between Si and Si/Al species and thus increase the framework density of the resulting zeolites. Finally, the dimethyl ether (DME) carbonylation reaction is employed to evaluate the catalytic properties of the above three zeolites with an identical chemical composition, and to reveal the unique confinement effect in various zeolite topologies.
