Telomeres,telomerase and cellular senescence

Telomeres and telomerase are in the spotlight of modern biological study.There are causal relationship be-tween telomere loss and replicative senescence,and telomerase activation and cellular senescence and immortaliza-tion.The formation and function of telomeres and telomerase and the close relationship between aging and them are reviewed,on which telomerase's application in aging control and cancer treatment is introduced.
