Non-linear Finite Element Analysis on Stiffness and Hysteresis Characteristic of Leaf Spring

The influence of the nonlinear factors on the performance of the leaf spring is complex.In this paper,the analysis of the stiffness and dynamic performance of the leaf spring is carried out with the contact nonlinear element provided by ANSYS software.Then the effect of friction and large deformation on the stiffness of the leaf spring and the effect of friction on the hysteresis and damping characteristics of the leaf spring are discussed.The results show that the influence on the stiffness of the leaf spring is small,but high on the damping characteristics of the leaf spring.These results provide a reference for the design of leaf spring.
