Evaluation of Efficacy of Astragalus injection in treat ment of patients with chronic heart failure

AIM: To evaluate the efficacy of Astragalus in jection in treatment of patients with chronic heart failure. METHODS: 60 patients with chronic heart failure were randomly divided into Astragalus injection treatment group and control group. The Astr agalus injection group was treated with Astragalus injec tion 40 ml (iv, qd) based on normal treatment. The treatments lasted for 14 days . RESULTS: The total effective rate in the Astragalus injection group was 90%, and 83.3 % in the control group(P 0.05 ). But the obvious effective rate ( 67.7 %) in the Astra galus injection group was higher than that in the control. CONC LUSION: The Astragalus injection can improve the heart function of patients with chronic heart failure.
