ABSTRACT Creativity is a term reserved for the individuals with artistic abilities. Also, from a general standpoint creativity is the capacity to think in unusual ways. One researcher suggests divergent thinking results in an increased level of creativity and problem-solving style (Delcourt, 2013). For all intents and purposes creative is an ability in which the individual or group views a problem or situation in a new way. This view births new ways to develop novel solutions or products (Winerman, 2005). Many pieces of research have focused on developing and cultivating creativity to the extent that it becomes second nature rather than a learning style. From meta-style, cognitive style, and intellectual prowess, the research of creativity has covered many realms (Evans & Vermunt, 2013). In this paper, the goal is to provide an example of the biological factors that influence creativity and identify biological factors that promote creativity, while illustrating examples of how creativity can be pushed to the next level along with critical thinking.
