Organic-inorganic hybrid metal halides have attracted considerable attention due to their interesting chemical variability and structure-property flexibility, with remarkable multifunctional properties, including tunable physical, chemical, optical, and electronic properties. However, with the continuous development and change of the social environment, the demand for multifunctional materials is more urgent. In this paper, a new low-dimensional cadmium-based hybrid metal halide multifunctional material with high temperature reversible phase transition is reported: [(CH 2 CH 3 ) 3 NCH 2 Cl] 2 CdBr 4 ( 1 ), which exhibits an ultrahigh temperature reversible phase transition at Tc=421 K variable, and has semiconductor and photoluminescence multifunctional materials. This will stimulate further interest in molecular materials with desirable multifunctional properties.
