摘要
Since the discovery of the superconductivity of second-generation high temperature superconducting (HTS) materials, it has attracted widespread attention around the world. However, the insufficient of the HTS quench detection technology is one of the major constraints on the development of the superconducting field. The most common quench detection method currently is to measure the voltage signals of HTS conductors through nanovoltmeters. Although nanovoltmeters have high measurement accuracy, they are expensive with few channels. This article uses a new voltage acquisition card to measure the quench voltage of a HTS cable, and the results is compared with that measured by a nanovoltmeter to determine whether the voltage acquisition card can be used to detect quench. The results indicate that the voltage acquisition card has a great potential for quench detection application, but its measurement values still need to be further calibrated.
