AbstractDeciding what system to use for recombinant matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) expression is often a matter of practicality (i.e., simplicity, cost effectiveness, time considerations). Of course, the final judgment of practicality is determined by the production of sufficient quantities of functional MMPs.
